2017 – A Year In Review

As 2017 draws to a close, I wanted to share this past year’s highlights with all of you, who have been supporting us since we started our journey of providing high-quality, accessible imaging analytics for everyone.

As our radiology Analytics Engine continues to evolve and expand, we are able to provide more doctors and patients with the insights they need to achieve faster, more accurate and affordable care. With your help, we will continue to drive towards achieving this goal.

2017 Highlights

We started the year with great momentum – being recognized as one of the top 5 AI/Machine Learning Companies by Fast Company, and one of the 50 top AI companies globally by Fortune.
We continued that momentum in March – receiving CE clearance for our Analytics Engine, including it’s first five clinical applications.

In the spring, we concluded a pilot at Oxford University in the UK that tested our compression fracture detection algorithm, and showed 95% sensitivity and 100% specificity in identifying Osteoporotic compression fractures.  The Oxford pilot continued a string of successful pilots, among them Intermountain Healthcare and the University of Virginia, in the US.

In the summer we opened our US office in NYC. We are very happy to have John LoGioco join us as Chief Commercial Officer in the US. His impact has already been felt at Zebra as he’s come on board to continue driving our commercial success.

October 2017 saw Zebra making one of our most significant announcements to the radiology market – A.I.1 – or “All In One”. Our new model whereby we charge $1 per scan, for all our algorithmic insights. We received, and continue to receive tremendous positive feedback for this model – which provides transparency, affordability and accessibility to high end radiology care globally.

The year ended at the RSNA show in Chicago, the largest annual gathering for radiology, where Zebra sponsored the Machine Learning showcase alongside Google Health Cloud and Carestream Health, two of our commercial partners. We also announced additional partnerships with Change Healthcare and Mach7, which will further drive the adoption of our Analytics Engine globally.

2018 – Another big year
We have great plans for the coming year. We will continue expanding the capabilities of our Analytics Engine to include additional capabilities in CT, Mammography and X-Rays, and we will continue working with radiologists and healthcare institutions to drive adoption of AI in Imaging, which we believe is the next frontier for Radiology.

From everyone at Zebra, we wish you a happy, healthy and successful 2018!

Sincerely,
Elad
